Andrei Matorin has been called an ''emerging jazz violinist'' by The Boston Globe and recently was featured in their Picks-of-the-Week. While studying at Berklee College of Music, he was honored with Berklee's Achievement Award on two separate occasions. He is an alumnus of Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead 2008 Program at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC, an exclusive program that ''identifies outstanding, emerging jazz artists in their mid-teens and twenties'' from an international pool of applicants. Andrei has performed with Bob Moses, Tiger Okoshi, Rosa Passos, Christian Scott, Oscar Stagnaro, Luques Curtis and Zaccai Curtis, Jason Palmer, Richie Barshay, James Williams among others.
