Andrei Matorin - Lessons
Andrei began giving private lessons during his freshman year at Berklee College of Music. He started off teaching improvisation to students who already demonstrated a certain degree of facility on the violin. Since, he has moved on to teaching both classical violin technique and jazz and improv lessons to students ranging from age six to college students and working adults.

Andrei's wide variety of experience with different traditional and modern genres allows him to cater to his students' many diverse interests. His approach to teaching is to try and accommodate each student's taste and goals as best as he can. Though much more time consuming, he designs individual lesson plans for each student and is always open to suggestions. His own experiences as a student, teacher and performer have taught him that there is no correct or incorrect course of study when it comes to music. He makes sure not to impose such rigorous restrictions on his students. Nevertheless, Andrei makes sure to instill the basics for good musicianship in all his students no matter what style or path they are interested in.

Aside from teaching privately, he gave jazz-violin lessons at The Litchfield Jazz Camp in 2007 and plans on returning in 2008 as a full-time Junior Faculty Member.
